The Turtle Fire System
The Turtle Fire System was designed and developed to adapt to the ever-evolving fire service and support the safety of fellow firefighters and the communities they serve. While it was born out of the need to address the growing concern of electric vehicle fires, its applications stretch far beyond its original design.
Below are additional suggested applications for the Turtle Fire System:
Suppress thermal runaway on Electric Vehicles
Mitigate EV fires long enough to allow time for occupant rescue
Can be deployed and supplied with low flow as a precautionary measure under any vehicle at risk of ignition after a motor vehicle accident
Cooling flammable liquid and fuel tanks
Exposure protection
Basement fires
Deep fires in untenable or hard-to-reach areas of a structure
Decontamination of firefighters, civilians, hose, equipment, or fire apparatus
Hazmat incidents
Maritime applications such as port-hubs accepting shipments of EV and hybrid vehicles, on ferries, etc.
Bridges and tunnels
Parking structures
